Earth Day – Let’s Preserve Our Planet Earth

Have you ever tried food prepared by your children? Come and join us here at Bluesky Environment Foundation on Mar. 26th, 2011 and Apr. 16th, 2011. Let’s experience, learn and have some fun!

A series of Earth Day events have been co-planned by Bluesky Environment Foundation and Wei-Chuan Cultural-Educational Foundation. These environmental events will be held at 14:00 on Mar. 26th, 2011 and Apr. 16th, 2011. Participants will learn the importance of environmental protection through cooking programs, reading sessions, and environmental activities. Also, parents will get a chance to try food made by their talented children!

Participants: Grade 1 – 6 Elementary School Students

Low Carbon Menu	Low Carbon Food DIY – Veggie Roll and Steamed Dumpling (Shao Mai) Participants will learn how to make low-carbon delicacies taught by professional chiefs from Wei-Chuan Cultural-Educational Foundation.	Low Carbon Food DIY – Vegetarian Sushi and Mochi (glutinous rice cake) Participants will learn how to make low-carbon delicacies taught by professional chiefs from Wei-Chuan Cultural-Educational Foundation.
Reading Session	“Unhappy Trees” Poor trees have decided to escape from the cold, cruel mankind. People decided to change their lifestyles to bring them back.	“The Story of Waterfall Town” Our Earth is facing severe changes due to over development and expansion of land. Who should be responsible for the severe changes of the Earth?
Experience	Knowing Recycle Products Participants will learn what the recycle products are through games and activities.	Knowing the signs/symbols of recycling Participants will be introduced to different signs/symbols of recycling.
